Easy fried wonton recipe for an ultimate appetizer
Ingredients
20 wonton wrappers
1/2 cup imitation crabmeat, shredded
2 slices cheese
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 cup vegetable oil for deep frying
1/4 cup plum sauce
Preparation
1. Cut cheese into small pieces. Then mix shredded imitation crabmeat, cheese, and mayonnaise together in a mixing bowl for stuffing.
2. Place 1 tsp stuffing mixture in the middle of wonton wrap, moisten 2 edges of wonton wrapper with water and fold the other edges to the moisten edges to seal.
3. Heat oil in a wok on medium heat. When oil is hot, add wontons in batches, fry until crisp and golden brown, then drain on paper towel.
4. Serve fried wonton with plum sauce for dipping.
